C.J. Leslie - NCAA Betting Odds: Boston College Eagles vs NC State Wolfpack

Surprising Boston College Eagles, coming off consecutive two-point ACC wins, visits a powerful North Carolina State Wolfpack squad that has won seven of eight.

The Eagles were picked to finish last in the conference. But despite starting four freshmen, B.C. has edged Clemson and Virginia Tech to get to 2-1 in conference play.

The Wolfpack is coming off a 76-40 rout at Wake Forest, their second biggest margin of victory in an ACC road game. Under new coach Mark Gottfried, N.C. State is aiming for its first 3-1 ACC start in six years.

The Eagles are 8-3 all-time against N.C. State, but have lost their last two visits to Raleigh.

SBG Global Sportsbook currently have the Wolfpack listed as 16-point favorites versus the Eagles.

Boston College Eagles (7-10): Three Eagles are averaging in double figures in conference play: Freshman center Daniel Clifford (12.3), junior guard Matt Humphrey (12.3), and freshman forward Ryan Anderson (10.3). Clifford has been the most impressive, winning ACC Rookie of the Week honors after averaging 15.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in the wins over Clemson and Virginia Tech. He's shooting 59.2 percent from the floor. Boston College is a poor rebounding team, and that could be exposed Thursday. B.C. has a minus-5.8 rebounding margin, while N.C. State has a plus-6.8 margin.

North Carolina State Wolfpack (13-5): Look for a bounce back game from sophomore forward C.J. Leslie, who was shut out for the second time in his career in the win at Wake Forest. Leslie averages 12.8 points, behind only point guard Lorenzo Brown (12.9). Leslie did not start against the Demon Deacons due to disciplinary reasons and ended up playing 17 minutes. Five players average at least 12 points. With forward Richard Howell (9.6 rpg), Leslie (6.3 rpg), center DeShawn Painter (5.3 rpg) and Brown (4.6 rpg) crashing the glass, the Wolfpack should get plenty of second shots.
